On the seas, Mike learned to sail and race competitively at an early age. His dedication paid off when he crewed on a sailing team that won its class in the Helsinki Olympics. He stayed involved in Olympic Sailing over the next 40 years and led the United States Olympic Sailing Team in the Barcelona Olympics that won nine medals in ten events, the most medals ever in Olympic Sailing.

In the job market, Michael showed executives for more than two decades how to change careers. He was a Partner of the leading global executive search firm Heidrick & Struggles. He also created and co-managed a course and career change coaching program for Executive MBAs at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles. And he volunteered for five years at the nonprofit Chrysalis, teaching “Job Prep” to felons recently out of prison. He’s been helping people get a better career his whole life.
Michael grew up in the Philadelphia area and spent summers on the New Jersey Shore. He holds a B.A. from Yale University and an MBA from Harvard University and was a U.S. Naval Officer for three years. He is married with two grown sons.
